Under the program, each year, 60 scholarships are awarded for one year of full-time study at the master’s or PhD level. This program is open to applicants studying in any field and will cover your entire tuition fee expenses and your registration fee waiver for one year. Also, it will provide you with a one-year stipend of EUR 10,000.
Hardiman Ph.D. scholarships:
These scholarships are offered primarily in five research areas at the National University of Ireland to pursue a postgraduate or PhD degree. Students who are going to start their PhD this year. With a stipend of €22,000 p.a. plus a tuition fee waiver, the Hardiman PhD scholarships are fully funded for 4 years. University College Dublin Global Excellence Scholarships

The UCD Global Excellence graduate scholarship will cover 50% or 100% of the student’s tuition fees by awarding the scholarships based on merit and the student’s scholarship application. The scholarship program applies to the majority of masters-level programs at all UCD colleges, like the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Business, the College of Engineering and Architecture, the College of Social Sciences and Law, etc. Students who are pursuing a two-year master’s program have to maintain a GPA above 3.08/4.2 to renew the scholarship. UCD also offers several scholarships for students who want to pursue their UG, including a scholarship specifically for Indian students.
Sutherland School of Law Doctoral Scholarships:
The Sutherland School of Law offers one new doctoral scholarship in law aimed at candidates with excellence. Who exceeds the threshold criteria for admission to the PhD program? In particular, if we see that, the candidates, along with having a master’s degree and relevant professional experience, should also have a first-class honors UG degree or a high 2.1 honors degree decorated by outstanding subsequent academic or professional accomplishments.
In addition to a yearly stipend of 22,000 euros, the scholarship will provide tuition fees at the non-EU rate. The scholarship is usable for a maximum of 4 years, which can be renewed each year depending on satisfactory progress. The scholarship is available to full-time students commencing their doctoral studies at the Sutherland School, which also requires a limited amount of teaching and related duties.
Generation Study Abroad Scholarships:
An international group called the Institute of International Education, through their Generation Study Abroad program, gives two scholarships to international students in collaboration with TCD. This scholarship enables a permit of EUR 2000 to cover tuition fees, lodging, and travel costs. The students need to open an Irish bank account to collect the award.
Sir Peter Freyer Special Merit Scholarship:
The National University of Ireland offers two full-fee waiver Special Merit Scholarships in the name of Sir Peter Freyer to Indian applicants who are seeking admission in any PG course at the university. The scholarship is awarded in the name of Sir Peter Freyer, a famous pioneer in biomedical developments who also served the Indian Medical Service for 20 years.
University of Limerick Scholarships:
The University of Limerick has both undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships that are available for international students who want to pursue their programs in the fields of science, engineering, arts, humanities, social sciences, education, and health sciences. Centenary Scholarship Program:

The Walsh Fellowship:
The Walsh scholarship program is Teagasc’s PG development program, with around 140 students pursuing PhD programs at any one time. Each year, around 35 scholarships are awarded to overseas students seeking research opportunities, specifically in the fields of crops, foods, agriculture, and rural development. A budget of 3.65 million euros per year is committed to the program. There are up to 35 new places each year, with a grant of 24,000 euros annually.
Although the eligibility and requirements for availing any of the scholarships mentioned above depend entirely on the respective scholarship program, there are some common eligibility criteria that international students should have: good academic scores, volunteering, and extracurricular activity experiences, submitted written assignments to avail of research program scholarships, LORs, and English language proficiency.
