4. Fleming College
Fleming College, originally named the Sir Sanford Fleming College, was founded in 1967. This public institution honors the life and work of the illustrious engineer and inventor Sanford Fleming. The idea of Universal Standard Time, to which he contributed, has brought him widespread fame. The Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology was founded in 1967.
