BIMM(British and Irish Modern Music) Institute
If you go to BIMM, the doors to the music business will be wide open. We make sure that students at our eight institutions in the UK, Ireland, and Germany are free to explore their own ideas and the ideas of others while also getting valuable work experience.
There are joint degrees like Music Performance and Music Production, and students can connect with people who work in the music business. Songwriting, Electronic Music Production, and Music Business are some of the other specialized tracks.
BIMM has been helping students make a living doing what they love for almost 30 years. George Ezra, Fontaines DC, and Natasha Bent are just a few of the great musicians who went on to make a name for themselves in the music business after graduating from BIMM.
We are the largest and most connected music school in Europe. We have eight campuses in some of the most musically active cities in the UK and Europe. Our studio helps young artists get better at what they do and sets them up for success in the music business.
We’ve been giving students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the music business for almost 35 years. If you choose to go to BIMM, you’ll join a unique group of creative people who have access to a wide range of professional resources. It’s a huge plus to be able to study at a school with close ties to the field in which you want to work one day.
Our mission is to prepare our students for successful careers in the music industry. In many ways, it defines who we are. In addition, there has never been a better time to enter or advance one’s career in this dynamic, multifaceted, and cutting-edge industry.
For nearly four decades, we have set the standard for excellence in the United Kingdom‘s music classrooms. Our BIMM students have been acknowledged for their hard work by the Quality Assurance Agency, and they enjoy a number of benefits, including masterclasses, guest lecturers, mentoring, and career assistance.
You’ll have the chance to be a part of something bigger than yourself at BIMM. People you meet at BIMM will become your friends for life, and the professional connections you make will help you get ahead in the future. In the BIMM community, you can find out who you really are, explore your creative potential, and make your own way in life.
We think that school should be more than just going to class and doing homework. This is why we work hard to bridge the gap between what we teach in the classroom and how it can be used in the real world. Here, you can find everything you could ever want or need, and there are a lot of doors just waiting to be opened.
We offer a variety of masterclasses, individual tutorials, elective courses, and extracurricular events to help you learn more about your area of interest. Join one of the many student groups we’ve set up, or use our festival internship program to get experience in a wide range of fields.
Our Student Support staff is here to help you in any way they can, whether it’s with personal care, finding a good place to live, doing better in school, or getting used to living away from home.
The BIMM Institute has a strong commitment to formal and informal collaboration and networking among its diverse staff and students from all over the world.
We think that the different cultures that our international students come from add to the lively atmosphere at BIMM. There are people from more than 60 different countries among our students. We’ve found that giving our students a chance to hear music from different cultures and styles helps them learn more about music and appreciate all kinds of music.
