Rankings
The University of Guelph is one of the top 100 schools in Canada. However, it is not one of the top 500 schools in the world. The University of Guelph is ranked 483rd in the world by US News and World Report for 2021. This puts it in the bottom half of all institutions that were looked at. The main things that go into US News & World Report’s rankings are the rating criteria it uses, such as academics, admissions, course popularity, and so on. But a big part of this is because of how the University of Guelph chooses who gets in and how high their standards are. So, these are the things that are used to rank universities.
Both US News & World Report and THE will rank the University of Guelph between 501 and 600 in 2021.
From 2019 to 2021, these positions, 501 through 600, have stayed the same. On the other hand, QS ranks the University of Guelph even higher than the above organizations do (551–600 for 2021). QS rankings gave the University of Guelph below-average scores in all of the different ways that schools are judged. Since the University of Guelph is ranked in a range above 500 worldwide, it does not get an overall ranking. Here are the results from the university: 40.8 for citations, 31.1 for employer reputation, 15.7 for international students, 13.8 for academic reputation, and a score of 0 for the whole thing.
