The first step in the process of producing these rankings, which are powered by ClarivateTM, was the creation of a pool of 1,849 universities, which was then utilized in the ranking of the top 1,750 schools.
The two reputation indicators that were used in the ranking analysis that was done by U.S. News were both created using the results that were aggregated from Clarivate’s Academic Reputation Survey for the most recent five years, which ran from 2017 to 2021.
As part of the survey, respondents were asked to provide their opinions on academic programs in fields that were already familiar to them. The purpose of the survey was to compile a comprehensive picture of academics’ perspectives on universities around the world. This approach gave respondents the opportunity to evaluate universities on a subject-specific and departmental level, rather than on an institution-wide scale; as a result, the overall reputation of the universities was evaluated in a manner that was both more specific and accurate.
