There’s a new EB-5 Proposal from the judiciary leadership of the U.S. Congress. The latest proposal is to raise the minimum investment amount for rural (R)/urban distressed (UD) areas as $925,000, whereas it would be $1.025 million for non-set-asides.
While this latest development from the U.S. Congress provides some foresight into the future of the EB-5 program, this
proposal is at a very early stage and hasn’t been drafted into an actual bill yet. Thus, as things stand, the EB-5 Regional Centre Program is set to expire on December 8, 2017 and the minimum investment amount continues to be $500,000 for investments made into a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) for now. Hence, we encourage you to move forward with your investment and application at the earliest.
We are once again scheduling meetings throughout India in December and I will be there along with EB-5 immigration lawyers and select regional center projects on hand. Please e-mail us back or click on the link below to request a meeting.
