Durham College

Durham College was founded in 1967 and is in the Ontario city of Durham. Durham College started with 205 students, 14 teachers, and 15 temporary classrooms. The institution then started to teach people about business, technology, and the arts.
Durham College now offers full-time online certificate and degree programs in areas like media, art, general arts, justice, health, skilled trade, and engineering. In addition to the main campus in Oshawa, there are also campuses in Whitby and Pickering. Also, the university has camps for people interested in cooking, textile arts, health, fitness, and fashion.
At Durham College, there are more than 13,600 undergraduate and apprentice students, and more than 2,000 of them come from more than 60 different countries. There are now more than 91,000 graduates of the school living all over the world. In addition, the school has about 800 full-time professors and teachers and about 1,270 part-time teachers and professors.
Through Durham College, people in the cities of Port Perry, Uxbridge, Oshawa, Beaverton, Port Hope, and Bowmanville can take part in community employment programs. Durham College also gives students the chance to live on campus in dorms. On the college campus, you can also go shopping, get medical care, park your car, have fun, and eat.
Each campus also has a bookstore, sports fields, ice centers, computer labs, study areas, gyms, libraries, and changing rooms. Also, the SA plans events and programs for students in many different majors. Durham College has been linked to a number of well-known people throughout its history. Jeffrey S. Boyce, President and CEO of Sure Energy Inc., took part in the General Business – Marketing program (1980). Tyler Boyco, an artist, filmmaker, and musician, made waves on the internet in 2014 with his portrait of Robin Williams. In 2014, he took part in a program for making digital videos, where he did very well.
Admission
Durham College has been around for more than 50 years. In 2020, it will be both Canada’s Greenest Employer and Greater Toronto’s Top Employer. The college has athletic facilities like a 10,000-square-foot gym, two squash courts, an indoor golf course, and elevated running tracks. There are many places to study, like the library and the Learning Commons, which is a modern place with 200 computers.
Employers are happy with the college 93.9% of the time, graduates are happy 76.8% of the time, and students are happy 73.6% of the time. Also, 67.5% of students graduate from the college. In the same year, about 1,06,244 people were signed up as graduates. In 2016–17, 85% of international students who graduated were either working or going to college within six months.
Placement
In 2017–18, 84% of Durham College graduates found jobs within six months of getting their degrees. The lowest annual salary was 41,714 Canadian dollars, and the highest was 46,490. More than 630 Durham College graduates took the college’s graduates outcome survey 15 months after they finished their programs. In that group, 904 were enrolled in some kind of post-secondary school, and 240 of them were job seekers who were out of work.
