Cornell University was founded in 1865 as a private, endowed, Ivy League research school. Its main campus is in Ithaca, New York. The Ithaca campus of Cornell University has 260 buildings and is spread out over about 2,300 acres of land. Students can choose from more than 180 undergraduate majors and 102 graduate degree programs at the university. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, the College of Engineering, the Jeb E.
